drop和fall的区别

fall 和 drop 的区别巧记：

Drop的发音里面最后一个音，p，是一个爆破音，干脆短促，可以表达出drop 的一个基本意思，突然地、迅速地下降。

Fall的最后一个发音L，长而软的发音。表达的是风、声音的减弱，情绪的低落，可以表现出这个发音里面的绵长的形象。 例： the apple dropped from the tree. Leaves fell from the trees.

fall 表示落下，跌落，降落等时，通常指，在重力的作用下落下，或者失去平衡而跌落。fall由此引申出来的意思，比如垮台，失去地位等。而且此时fall一般只作为不及物动词使用。比如：

The leaves fall in the autumn.

The table fell off the table onto the floor.

The government fell after the revolution.那场革命后政府垮台了。

drop 表示降落，落下时，通常暗含有是一种意外的意味。drop既可以是及物动词也可以是不及物动词。
