IBM employee, Regular和IBM employee, Alternate Work Arrangement 区别是什么？

Employee:

IBM雇员的统称，通常也可以叫做IBMer，包括各种IBM正式雇员（Rugular、Fix-term等）和少量特殊的派遣种类雇员。

Regular:

IBM的正式员工，劳动合同直接跟IBM签，中国内地的Regular一般都是无固定期限劳动合同的。

目前在中国内地指的是“中智派遣”（CIIC

Contr），虽然是派遣工，但也算IBMer，连员工号都是跟Regular混在一起编的全数字工号。人力资源、行政、公关、销售等部门有很多这种类型的员工。不过IBM马上会跟中智say

bye

bye了，可能会换另一家派遣公司。

IBM的员工类型非常多，还有其他的，如Asignee、Supplement、Short-term(/time?)等。

independent contractor和employee区别

contractor就是雇主根据工作需求给你工作，有时候有，有时候没有；工资相对高些但是工时不稳定，没有带薪假。

permanent employee也分full time/part time，这两个是工作时间有关系；full time每周38小时，part-time小于这个时间但是是相对固定的时间段；工资没有contractor高但是相对稳定，有带薪假等福利。

The general rule is that an individual is an independent contractor if you, the person for whom the services are performed, have the right to control or direct only the result of the work and not the means and methods of accomplishing the result.总的原则是，为你服务的这个人，若你对他的权利只局限在控制或指挥事情的结果，而控制不了达到这个结果采取的方式方法，这个人就是independent contractor。
