may和shall表示允许时的区别

一、征求对方允许（ask for permission）时，用"May“在文体上比较正式，在口气上比较客气，往往用于陌生人之间或者正式场合。相当于I want to... Do you permit me?

否定回答时可用can’t或mustn’t，表示“不可以，禁止”。

例：

May I take this book out?

Yes, you can. / No, you can't. (musn't)

二、用 "Shall"来征求对方意见（ask for opinion），主要用于第一、第三人称，有“要不要”(Do you want me...?)"…..好吗"等意思。

例：

Shall he come to see you? 要不要他来看你？

Shall I open the window? 我开窗户好吗？

肯定回答，一般是 Of course； Certainly；NYes, please。

否定回答，一般是 No, thanks！

maybe 、 may 的差异？

will 用于一般将来时用，基本用于所有人称。

意思是: 将要 He will go on studying after graduation.

would

1.将要,过去将来时,He would go on studying when he had graduated.

2.过去常常会 He would go fishing at that time.他那时经常去钓鱼.

3 固定用法 would like 和want 意思和用法相同

shall

将要,一般将来时,用于主语是第一人称的时候 I shall...或者we shall...

should

1.将要shall的过去时 ,用法同shall

2.“应该”,主语随便是第一二三人称,都可以,较常用.属于情态动词，后跟动词原形。

may 可以,语气比can弱.

注意,May I come in?(委婉地问,表示谦虚,客气)回答不是yes,you may.而是yes,you can(回答的人就不要见外了).

maybe:能够，有能力to be able, have power

ad.可能；大概；也许

副词 adv. 或许，大概

perhaps, possibly

· Maybe we'll see you tomorrow.

或许我们明天会见到你。

· Maybe it is right.

这可能是对的。

· as soon as maybe:as soon as possible

尽量快

· The rat ran as soon as maybe.

may:
