这几个“垃圾”有什么区别

Garbage(n.)----“废物”。指厨房里丢弃的剩余物。

例句：The park is covered with old cans and other forms of garbage. 公园里到处都是旧罐头盒和其它各种垃圾。

例句：Waiters put their leftovers in the garbage can. 侍者把残羹剩饭倒入泔脚桶里。

Rubbish(n.)----“垃圾，废物”。指体积较小、破碎的、没有用的废物，和可收集起来进行处理的弃物，间或指愚蠢无用的话语和思想。

Waste(n.)----“废物”。普通用语。指任何被遗弃的东西。

Trash(n.)---- “废物”。指小型无价值的杂物，或无价值作品。

Junk(n.)----“废物”。指用坏了地，无价值的废弃物。

rubbish 普通用词，指任何成堆的、破损的、用过的或无用的东西，尤指弃掉的垃圾堆。也可作引申用，指劣质的东西；废话，瞎说。

litter 是四下乱丢物品的总称，尤指散落于地，有碍观瞻的废物。
